How to Share Google Business Profile Access in 5 Quick Steps
Giving our team access to your Google Business Profile lets us fine-tune your business information, respond to reviews, and post updates on your behalf if it is included in your service, but most importantly, measure your site’s Local SEO performance, all of which help your business show up better in local search results.
Sharing access only takes a couple of minutes, and you never have to give out your password. Just follow the steps below.
Table of Contents
1 Sign in to your Google Business Profile

Go to https://business.google.com/us/business-profile/ and sign in with the Google account that manages your business listing. If you manage more than one location, select the one you want to share.
2 Open Business Profile settings
On your dashboard, click the three-dot menu near the top of the page and select “Business Profile Settings.”

3 Go to People and access
A settings panel will open. Click “People and access.” This page shows everyone who currently has access to your listing.

4 Add a new user
Click the “Add” button, usually shown at the top left of the panel. A box will appear asking for an email address. Type or paste the email address provided by your SEO company.

5 Enter the email and choose a role
Type in the email address of the additional manager, then under “Access,” select “Manager.” This lets us update your listing without giving us full ownership or your password. Click “Invite” to send it.

Confirming the invitation
Once you send the invitation, we’ll receive an email and accept it on our end. You’ll get a confirmation once we’re connected, and you can check the status anytime by returning to the “People and access” page and looking under “Pending.”
That’s it! You’ve successfully shared access to your Google Business Profile. If you don’t see the “Add” button, make sure you’re signed in as the Owner of the listing, since only Owners can invite new users.
